Is his ego REALLY that big that he wants to toss Florida to John McCain just to outmaneuver Hillary Clinton?

Times poll: Dems want primary results to count
Howard Dean and Barack Obama may insist Florida’s Democratic presidential primary was meaningless, but a new poll shows Florida Democrats aren’t buying it, and one in four may not back their party's nominee in November if Florida winds up with no voice in the nomination.
Not only do Florida Democrats say that the Democratic presidential contenders’ boycott of their primary had little effect, but an overwhelming plurality want the officially meaningless results to count, a new St. Petersburg Times/Bay News 9 poll finds.
A record 1.75-million Florida Democrats voted in the Jan. 29 primary, which Hillary Rodham Clinton won by 17 percentage points, but as punishment for holding the primary earlier than allowed by the national party, no delegates were at stake. Now, as a nomination stalemate looms, the candidates and state and national party leaders are struggling to figure out how and if America’s biggest swing state can have a voice in the Democratic nomination.
"If there’s one thing that this survey says is you have to acknowledge the Jan. 29 primary on some level," said pollster Tom Eldon. "You really can’t say the Florida primary was a non-event to voters. It was a non-event to Howard Dean according to the rules of the DNC.”
Twice as many Clinton supporters -- 56 percent -- want the Florida primary to count as do Obama supporters -- 27 percent. Still, even among Obama supporters, the idea of counting that primary is slightly more popular than holding a new election or dividing Florida’s delegates evenly between the two candidates.

Well,of COURSE Hillary wants it to count.
She broke the rules that the DNC put in place....for candidates not to campaign in states that jumped the gun and held primaries before the usual suspects. (They could fundraise, however.) No other Democratic candidate did this-they all signed deals which clarified the rules. Hillary, presumably, signed it and still went ahead and broke the rules. The same applies in Michigan.
Methinks she's doing this because she can't win any other way. Even winning Pennsylvania won't help her in any way, shape or form.

Carl, do you REALLY want to descend to the depths of Obamamania?
Go do some research and then try and tell me that Hillary broke the rules.
She didn't campaign in any of those states that THE CANDIDATES agreed not to campaign in.
There was NO agreement not to put their names on the ballot and the decision not to count the delegates was purely between the DNC and the states.
In fact, if ANYONE broke the rules, it was Obama who ran national commercials in Florida.

Running national commercials isn't comparable to actually CAMPAIGNING in the state, shiva, and you know it.
And...you want some research?
YOU GOT IT,PAL!

Now you're going to copy nota by providing links that you claim are damning without providing the relevant text?
I read your link and found NO REFERENCE to Hillary campaigning in Florida or Michigan.
C'mon, play fair.
Otherwise you're just validating everything I've said about Obamamaniacs.

From the article in question:
"They(the DNC)asked the candidates not to campaign here, and none of the serious ones did. Then they asked the candidates to take their names off the Michigan ballot. And all the major ones did...except Hillary Clinton. She said in New Hampshire that it was no big deal, because 'Michigan's vote is not going to count for anything'. That was when she thought she was participating in a coronation, not a nomination fight. But now it is clear she very much needs the nonexistent 'delegates' she won in Michigan,by getting 55% in a contest without any other contenders."
Earlier on in the column,Jack Lessenberry notes that we should all want a new round of voting,no matter who you support(Clinton or Obama)-because if Clinton gets the nomination by back-door politics, you're going to have millions of people who will be pissed because their vote didn't amount to squat.

Indeed.
So where is the damning section accusing Hillary of campaigning in Florida?

ckg, I can't believe you are using a Jack Lessenberry op-ed as proof. And you accuse me of bad links.
The operative word in the above is "asked". The DNC asked the candidates not to campaign in Michigan and Florida, they didn't order them not to (because they can't as far as I know). It is kind of like "It depends on what the definition of "is" is." Hillary thumbed her nose at Dean and campaigned, Obama didn't. Hillary broke her pledge but so what, it never upset you before when the Clinton's played dirty. Isn't that why the dems loved Bill and Hill so much? That they got away with alll the crap they pppulled over the years. I believe they were called 'brilliant politicians" when they pulled this stuff against the republicans. Hillary wins, Obama loses, that's politics.
So, now the conundrum. What to do with two large democrat strongholds, whose people came out in record numbers for a primary, and who are now told they have no say in the biggest dem primary in 40 years? Count the votes you piss off all the Bamarama puddin' heads. Don't count them and you piss of the Clintonites, many of whom, including you ckg, have been waiting for Hillary's coronation for years. What a ***** mess huh? Only Howard Dean could get you guys here. Well done.

You don't know what you're talking about. This total bs.
But hey, whatever fits your agenda.

One thing that is true, she did not publically disagree with the DNC's decision until after she won Michigan (as the only candidate on the ballot) and was about to run away with Florida, as well as seeing that Obama was a real challenge to the position she thaught would be handed to her.

There are 1.7 million voters that took the time and energy to exercise their franchise. Why should they be disenfranchised?
Plus, it was Obama that made the decision not to put his name on the Michigan ballot. There was no agreement.
And the "she thought it would be handed to her" is a Hillary hater fabrication. You have no basis for claiming that.

Thanks.
I have these terrible visions of gangs of Venezuelan narco-terrorists swarming over the Canadian border like Sosa's hitman at the end of Scarface.
I don't wanna go out yelling "Say hello to my leetle fren'!"
That's your job.

I disagreed with the DNC decision from the start (although many Dems strongly disagreed with me). They should not have been disenfranchised form the start.
As for the last part, while you will ignore this, her attitude has been consistent: She expected a much easier run to the nomination and thought it would be essentially handed to her.
This Obama fellow has you quite upset, doesn't he?
