NFL.com: (http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/jeremy-zuttah?id=846) Overview
A versatile offensive lineman with experience at both guard and tackle positions, Zuttah has the combination of quickness, instincts and nastiness scouts are looking for. Despite having not given up a sack since 2005, Zuttah may struggle to find a starting niche at the next level as he is viewed as a bit of a 'tweener. Still, this four-year starter has proven dependable throughout his career for the Scarlet Knights and could prove to be a late-round find as a valuable swingman.
High School
Three-year starter for J.P. Stevens who was ranked as the 20th-best OL/DT in the country by The Insiders.com ... Ranked as the nation's 34th-best offensive guard nationally and the 14th-best prospect in New Jersey by Rivals.com ... SuperPrep ranked him the ninth-best player in New Jersey ... Amassed 45 tackles and 3.5 sacks at defensive end in 2003 ... A two-time All-Area selection ... Was a First Team All-Middlesex and All-Group 4 selection as a senior in 2003 ... Team was 24-8 in his three years of varsity action ... Started at defensive tackle as a junior and defensive end as a senior ... Played guard and tackle on offense ... Helped team to 2001 state championship with an undefeated season ... Teammate of fellow Scarlet Knight Anthony Miller ... Also played baseball and basketball at JP Stevens.
Analysis: Analysis
Positives: Good overall athleticism. ... Good initial quickness off the snap. ... Uses his hands well to position and sustain blocks, flashing some explosion and nastiness. ... Good set up in pass protection. ... Keeps his shoulders square to the defender and has the foot quickness to compete on the outside. ... Versatile offensive lineman with experience at both guard and tackle positions. ... Viewed by some as athletic and instinctive enough to project best inside at center -- a position he has never played. ... High effort player who wants to be good.
Negatives: Considered by some to be a bit of a 'tweener. ... Lacks the size preferred for the outside and gets by on quickness and toughness, rather than strength, as a close-quarter run blocker. ... Lacks true explosiveness to his game and may be a bit of a finished product, considering his work ethic and toughness.
