Oh yes, I agree cats are fine... if you like murderers and baby eaters. And I loved my old Coon, he was a monster.

I was never a cat guy until my wife brought a Calico Persian home. She got it to keep her company when she was working in Alaska.

I fell in love with it. She gets along well with our three Shih Tsus, they play together all the time.

Dogs and cats living together!!!!

Who'd a thunk it.:D

I love it when mine goes out and kills the lizards and then drops it on my front doorstep - and she has this look on her face like see what I did aren't you pround??

My cat is really fat and lazy and only does this once in awhile - but I just laugh because it is like why must you do this?

My cat hisses and swats at my dog - sometimes they will MAYBE lie with in a yard of each other but that is it.

I am actually waiting for the cat to get laryngitis because she hisses at him so much!

My cat is great because she only likes me. She doesn't like people in general and when she doesn't get her way (either wants milk, a snack or some other food), she'll stand in your way walking and swat at your ankles.

it's actually a warped type of loyalty because she won't do that to me.

She also likes to hunt. because she is an outdoor cat, she poops out there, and so she's out there for a long time. She enjoys catching baby birds, just fallen out of their nests. Other animals such as rodents and squirrels are less common but equally satisfying for her.

She'll play with it for a while, batting the animal around until it is stunned. Then, she eats the head, chews it and generally just leaves the rest of the body alone. I'm not sure why she does this, but, its just as well because I think if she ate the rest of it, she'd get sick.

She is very peculiar in the way you have to pet her. Only on the top of the head and her cheeks. the left ear is okay, but the right ear is off limits. She doesn't mind her back being petted, but if you do it for too long, she'll get anxious and leave.

One place that is absolutely off limits in her under belly. I think it was because she got spayed and it left it sensitive or something. But if you do try to pet her stomach, she'll close on you like a venus fly trap, wrapping her paws and claws around your hand in a death grip.

But other than that, she's a pleasant cat. Her name is Tigger. She is around 11 years old, an american short hair.

Caring for the environment has nothing to do with left/right wing, believe it or don't.

We created the feral cat problem, it's up to guys like moonie to take care of it. :)

I used to be 100% pro-cat/anti-dog growing up. Then I got a dog and found out what loyalty actually is.

This reminds me of the movie Meet the Parents. When DeNiro says

"So you prefer an emotionally week animal?"

We used to have goldfish, but these ****ers were giants! They came from a pond on my friend's land.

We had the basic, standard sized fish tank, but these poor guys just didn't fit. There were three of them, measuring around 5 to 6 inches long.

When the cat came, trouble ensued.

We didn't cover the tank because it was unnecessary. It was easy to feed anyhow and the tank didn't come with a lid anyways.

But my cat learned to fish real quick. The tank was set up on a cupboard near the stairs in my house. The cat would balance herself on the railing, and with her long reach, she would swipe at the fish as they rose to the surface to eat their fish flakes.

She never tried to eat the fish, it was just fun for her to knock em out of the tank.

Unfortunately, one of the fish developed a giant tumor on its side. When it got too big, it threw off the fish's balance and would force the poor thing to swim on it's side.

Near the fish's end, it would just stop trying and float to the top, still alive mind you.

Well, the cat put the poor fish out it's misery, popped the tumor during one of her fishing expeditions.

As a result, I had to find a board to put over the fish tank.

We also had two finches, brother and sister.

These things were annoying as hell.

They made a sound reminiscent of an old printer we used to have. It was a high pitched squeak. And it was loud too.

I told you they were brother and sister. This didn't faze them because they often had sex and laid a few eggs. I thought this was kind of gross.

I hated the stupid birds so, just to piss them off, I would bring my cat up to their cage and let her stare at them.

Sometimes the cat didn't need me to do that. There was a big desk slightly underneath the bird cage. the cat would hop up there and, on her hind legs, extend her body such that a big black bear would in the wild, standing nearly straight up. to help balance herself, she would rest her front paws on the bottom of the bird cage.

This proved folly for the cat because the bird cage wasn't stable and the cat usually tumbled to the floor.

See these are funny stories about your cat - I think there is something really worng with mine.

She chances lizards, but every Spring there is this damn bird that sits out there and dive bombs her, and sqwaks really loud at her - and the cat ignores the damn bird and hides from it! I have to go out and scare the bird away!

My cats name is Peek-A-Boo and I swear that is what she is playing with that darn bird!

lol

you're cat just isn't mean enough!

Mine is undersized and is smaller than the rest of the cats on the block that walk around here. So she has a natural chip on her shoulder and it carries over into our house with us.

Maybe play with her and try to coax out her god given instincts. I have a toy that is a pole with a string attach to it. on the other end of the string are three feathers and they are tied in such a way that it resembles the flight of a bird. My cat goes crazy for it!

It kind of freaks me out what she does: when the feathers come near her, she opens her mouth and hisses at it and then swings her paw at it.

I always wondered if there was something wrong with mine...She freaks out if oyu touch her belly, which is generally closed off either because shes laying on her belly or has her legs covering it. However, she loves her head getting rubbed. If it was a matter of survival instincts, wouldnt she want to be protective of her head? She puts herself in a vulnerable position when she wants to get petted. I never understood that.

I love rubbin her belly, its the softest fur she has
