Cleveland sent down a pair of pitchers to Buffalo today: starter Brian Slocum and lefty reliever Tony Sipp.

Slocum is likely to be considered a depth starting option(he missed most of the '07 with elbow and hamstring problems),while Sipp is coming off Tommy John surgery;don't expect Tony to do any pitching until midseason-and it'll likely be happening in the low minors(i.e. Lake County,Mahoning Valley,or Kinston).

This in addition to another lefty,Reid Santos, being sent down by Cleveland to minor league camp on Monday;he was joined by starter Adam Miller.(Santos was 8-3 for Akron last year with an ERA in the high 2's. However, look for him to work out of the bullpen.)

It's expected that Brad Snyder,Trevor Crowe and Ben Francisco will patrol the outfield for the Bisons-with Shin Soo Choo getting some rehab time in before returning to Cleveland;Jason Cooper and Jason Tyner could also see spot OF duty.
