Mike Mayock just reported that the officials measuring the vertical jumps may have measured the the arm lengths incorrectly which resulted in lower reported vertical jump calculations. The vertical jump numbers compared to last year were much lower this year for the WRs and there is growing suspicion it is because of the mistake, not the difference between this class and the past years.

I noticed Keller's was like 3 inches higher at Pro Day.

Yep, there will be a bunch of better verticals at the pro day workouts than the combine.

How long before some kid doesn't get drafted then sues the vertical jump judge claiming it was his fault?

It's a bonehead mistake, but if a team is really interested in a kid, they won't throw him away just because of a poor vertical. In fact, if they are that interested, they'll find a way to have him work out again, anyway, in most cases.

I did think that was strange. People were improving their vertical 4-5 inches in their pro day.

I just figured Jimmy from Seinfeld sold them his special jump training shoes.

One of our draft guru's on FinHeaven did a statistical analysis and came to the conclusion that the Combine vertical was off consistently by 4 inches...
