Let's take it to the mass opinion. I'll do this for rounds 2, 3 later on. Who do you want the bills to take in round 1 ? who's the best fit? VOTE!

42 votes so far for the 1st rounder. I'll start working on round 2 when we hit 50.

Gimme some 2nd round choices !

I would've loved Connor but we got more pressing needs. If Fred Davis is gone and he's there in the second, I'd still snatch him up. You can't pass up talent.

I see davis as one of those 30, 31 slot guys. if he's there in the 2nd, that's a great value pick.

NE can use a TE too. I hate the Pats.

knowing them, they'll trade down and get another #1 next year. they are in great position. they can draft a terrific player, or trade for a slew of picks. If i were them i'd draft at least 3 lb's

Mike jenkins CB

Funny How Mckelvin and Cromartie have the hype, but Jenkins has the big game/ big conference experience.

44 hits and not too many votes guys. Let's get 'em in. I won't move on to the second round till the vote gets a lot higher.

Ive changed my mind so many times, 1 guy that remains part of the discussion is Mike Jenkins.

Ive gone from Hardy vs Jenkins, to Kelly vs Jenkins, to Sweed vs Jenkings............on and on, but Jenkins is always right there.

It could change again if Kelly runs 4.4, but Im sticking with Mike Jenkins for a while.

I watched him play a few times and he was the most impressive player Ive seen all year, besides McFadden, Jake Long, and Ghoulston

I like think it should be Harvey or Mike Jenkins

At this point the Bills biggest need is clearly at cornerback.

I don't get the recent feeling that Harvey is our need pick. I just don't see it.

Since your poll asked who should we take at pick 11, I picked none of the above. I feel unless someone from the top 10 players drops, we should trade down and take any of the guys you have in your poll. I don't feel any of them are top 11 talent. My choice after we trade down is Dan Connor. We have three starting LB's, that is it. I don't want Ellison or JD getting significant playing time this year. Connor can back up at all three LB spots.

I say none of the above ! Give me Limas Sweed ! Why wasn't he included on the list ?

My choice is Philip Merling rather than Harvey. He is bigger, faster and a better run stopper. If he survives training camp, this is Denneys last year.
Very good WR's, TE's and CB's will all be availible throughout rounds 2, 3 and 4.

Sweed hasn't shown up on as many mocks as kelly. Like i said, the names were taken from the user mocks

31 votes so far, it's gonna take 50 for me to call it, and move on to Rd2. If you haven't voted yet, please do so.

I am all about CB at this point and i think the best CB in the Draft is Mike Jenkins.

I like DRC and Talib to.

Mike Jenkins is taking most of the none of the above vote.

I just don't see us going Dline anywhere close to the first day.

that's where the majority of the vote is going.

Looks like we will not be signing a #2 veteran receiver.(Johnson signed by SF and we are not on the radar for Hackett) I think that the whole focus of the Bills draft has changed.
Very likely that they will take the best wide receiver in the draft (in their opinion) and may not even trade down to take him. 2nd round might very well be the best TE in the draft. Could be good for the Bills long term but sad that they may no longer have the luxury of BPA or a version of it.
Cornerback for the Tampa 2 doesn't have to be a 1st round pick. We can easily get a corner to perform in our system in round 2 or even 3. Either way I think that no veteran wide receiver will certainly change the Bills perspective going into the draft.
Sweed may just be the guy for them.

I just don't think the Bills have given any indication that they are thinking about DE in the first round.

They cut DBs and added DL. I think it shows that they want to address DL more.

My vote for 2nd round is for Marcellus Bennett by the way.

This is getting too close to call now, i'm going to let it go for a little while longer. keep nominating the 2nd round choices.

Second Round:
C Mike Pollak Arizona State
TE Fred Davis USC
CB Brandon Flowers V Tech
FS Kenny Phillips Miami
WR Devin Thomas Michigan State (He may not be there?)

JayHall93
March 15th, 2008, 12:14:44 PM
Thomas is rising now, it would be a steal in the second!

In round two, You need to have James Hardy and Devin Thomas among the choices. A couple others might be Martellus Bennett and Tracy Porter. Antoine Cason might be there too. I'm going on the assumption that Derrick Harvey wins in the first round even though it's close with Cromartie.

Dead even. can't call this one.

Based on those players, its gotta be DRC. Bills need a CB more than a new DE or LB. we have are starters set for those positions and I can't see the bills drafting for depth in the first round with so many other major holes to fill.
