I would never have guessed that Ken Montour would be the best player on the Bandits right now. I figured we would have a goalie combo with Thompson and Montour that would be similar to Cowie and Gerrie. Servicable goalies but nothing great. But Montour has stepped up and took the starting job and has won games for this team. Would they have came back and beat Philly without Montour shutting the door? I don't think so. Would they have won last night, scoring only 11 goals without Montour standing on his head? Yeah Delby had a good game but Monster was the game MVP. Yeah he has no shot at league MVP but he should. If the Bandits finish 12-4 he could be a big part of the season.

agreed. I had monster pegged for MVP last night. I'm happy to see DP wake up and show some stuff but Monster has been titz the last 3 times he's played.

He was pretty good for us in the Title game against the Mammoth a few years ago as well...it still blows me away that they put Chugger back in when he clearly was playing like crap that day.

I never knew very much about Ken Montour in his 1st stint with the team, like everyone else I figured he was a solid backup for Thompson who was the real talent ready to breakout this year. I was at the game last night and Montour was incredible, at least 3 or 4 highlight reel saves last night. It was probably the lowest scoring lacrosse game I've ever seen, but it was still fun. The fights right in the beginning of the game really set the tone too.

This is actually his 3rd stint with the team
with us in 2002 before going to Columbus and Arizona
got him back in 2006
he played in Philly last year

Ken is a wall, thats all their is to it. I brought a friend who follows the team, but hadn't been to a game all year, and he kept telling me how awesome Montour was playing and what a wall he was, and I kept telling him how he's played like that all season.

I know that were going to keep playing Montour, no offense to Thompson, but, at this rate Montour is having a MVP season, honestly.

Oh yeah, and Clay Hill, hes the freaking man. So underrated, he does everything. I honestly think he should be in the all-star game over White, no offense to Whitey, but, Hill is awesome.

OK kids, before we get too excited here over Monster, remember this, the D is making him look good, they play really tough in front of him. Hill and White destroy shooters on the back end. Monster can stop the outside shots better than Mikey right now, but, Mikey will be back and he'll be just as good or better. No need to call him the best Bandit on the team when ol JT is still prowlin' around!

Yea but you also can't take a thing away from him with some of the saves he has been regularly making.
