Hey guys, Has anyone gotten MLB 2K8 for 360 yet? If so how is the game, because I am wondering if I should buy it or not. IGN only gave it a 7.4.

This should give you a good idea...

I've been anticipating this new pitching system for a long time now and at last - I'm here! The mechanics are very easy to catch on too. Step 1: you proceed with the first motion labeled on the picture as 1 and hold that until you move into the most outer ring. Step 2: once in the outer ring, transition into the motion labeled 2 and end at the spot designated in the picture. Step3: once there, keep your thumb put until the ring moves back towards the middle dot and release. Takes a few pitches to get used to but purty cool. Now... I step back into the game and move forward with my first 2k8 exhibition game. Swing! and... miss. Perfect pitch but one problem... The game was all over the place. The batter looked like a robot from chucky cheese attempting to emulate a human swing with the help of some out dated anamatronics (spelling*). A couple of pitches later, a ground ball hit to Tejada, and out number 1. Ewwwwwwwwwww! First off, the field felt like a softball field, for the players were way too close to home plate and not to mention, the scale of the field to that of the players is way, way off. The crawford boxes in left field seem to be equivalent to that of the "Green Monster" at Fenway - that made me mad. Keep in mind, this was like this in 2k7 and no change.

I'm a 360 owner, but I've been playing the show on PS2 the past two years. The Show is the best baseball game I've ever played and I plan on playing it again this year.

After reading that thread, it seems like 2K8 has been a dissapointment.

You know what game I really liked was All Star Baseball '04 and '05 for regular Xbox. I really liked those games. That game was my favorite baseball game. Acclaim Entertainment has been out of business since '04, the series is gone. Even though Acclaim Games is a new company, it still hasn't made a baseball.

I downloaded the demo, and after about 5 minutes it's a very fun game. You just need to get used to the new pitching system. The other things people are complaining about are very minor issues to me.

I downloaded it too. It's ok, I don't know if I will be buying it though.

I played the game last night with my friend and now I am really enjoying the game. True, the controls are pretty hard and they're quirks, but this game is good. I will now probably be buying this.
