I also am intruiged by...
DO Diamond Offshore Drilling
(oil baby)
Anyone feeling like the home building sector might be worthy of jumping into later this year? Pulte, Lennar, Centex, etc... They might benefit if there is some aid tossed at the housing/mortgage problems... Housing Market WILL come back and some of these stocks are cheap. All under 30 bucks. Some under 20 bucks.

I'm into value stocks right now as I dont really have a ton of capital to work with at this time.
I'm liking Grey Wolf at 6.18 mostly just from what people are advising, not because of their product (which in general is Oil in Texas)
Take Two should get a good boost from the new GTA and if EA or someone buys them out it could be for up to 40 bucks a share by some estimates. Its trading at 26 right now.
Smart Modular Techs is another value stock at 6.51 but many are expecting big returns by the end of the year. They deal with mini flash drives for cameras and phones.
Amtech Sys has been hurtin of late @ 10.78 and falling a little, but they deal with solar power and are predicted to make big gains by the end of the year.
All these stocks have had increased profitability over the past few years except for TTWO, but I mainly bought some of that for any gains from GTA and the potential of a lucrative price-war between EA and Activision etc.

Just to note, the absolute price of a single share doesn't really reflect whether or not a company's price is "cheap"...
I'm watching GRMN only because it's killing me that I didn't have the stones to pull the trigger when it was $120ish.
ATRO in East Aurora, too. I gotta grow some stones to sell. That's the hardest part.

I am looking at Jones Soda (JSDA). Scott Bedburry just became the CEO. they just moved a Coke Cola VP in as President. Scott was incharge of Marketing for Nke during the Bo Knows and just Do It years. And Then he became VP of Marketing for Starbucks when the hit there boom. He is big into Brand development. Recent events have Jones Soda now used on Alaska Air and Horizen Air and their 24c powder drink is being picked up by Whole Food Markets.

Never heard of it. Hmmmmmm.
Pantera's chain carry's it. Jones Soda is basically soda, but made from pure cane sugar instead oh High fructose. Don'r know to much else. The big financial houses are not high on it, but the Motely fool rates it high.

Looks like litigations for overstating profits has destroyed this stock (Jones Soda) prospect. I am holding off for now.

PX....wont be affected by recession, has buffalo ties as well...huge growth in both short and long term...market leader...
Con: complex sector to understand, so beware
QID....becareful with as a long term investment...if you are day trading or short term QID should do well with the current market volatility, but according to historical data related to recessions, beware of how long you hold this stock....it could burn you if you are looking long term in the 5 years range..
