going to be real tough for lindy to sit a guy who draws atleast one penalty a game and draws all the attention of the other team as well as make huge hits, thats a freakin lot for a guy who plays very little each game.

It certainly is not Bernier who has gone from being "Big Bear" to "Little Cub" in one game.
Kaleta is the man.

I thought T-Bo was awesome he opened and closed the bench door with such precision. He was in top form all night.

Worst forward: Max Afinogenov.
Turnovers galore. Ruff even singled him out after the game. Keep that up, Max, and you won't be in the lineup much longer.
Given the way this forward group is constructed, Afinogenov's on borrowed time here. The last time he was in the lineup, the team was predicated much more on speed than it is now. But with Kaleta's nightly presence and even the addition of Bernier, the forwards are becoming much more Western Conference-esque. Tonight's loss sucked, but I love how the Sabres' forwards are no longer giant fruitcakes.
Speed: check.
Offense: check.
Defensive awareness: check.
Physicality: check.
Fix the damn defense.

With Peters scratched,T-BO stepped up big time in that department.

The defense was indeed again awful. Lydman has clearly been infected with whatever disease Dmitri Kalinin caught during the lockout. Tragic... Let's just pray Hank Tallinder isn't next to catch the plague.
Speaking of Kalamity, he regressed to bad Dmitri, right on schedule. As reliable as death and taxes.
That said, the poor defensive play the last two games may have more to do with the forwards. The backchecking has been for shit. Hecht pulls his groin and they forget how to skate two ways.
And then there was Max. I wish Lindy had stuck with his initial impulse, and kept him scratched. Can someone tell me the last time Max Afinogenov has seen the wrong side of a red line? I'm beginning to think Andrew Peters may be a more useful hockey player. At least he knows how to dump the puck in...kindof.

Hecht is dearly missed, without doubt. When healthy, this is a far better overall team. He's the best two-way forward on the roster, and when you're missing a guy like that, it's no surprise you blow leads against the Rags and Flyers and allow 10 goals the other two games. I mean, we're talking about a guy who borders on Selke-caliber as a defensive forward.

Maybe the D pairings should change to:
Spacek-Lydman
Tallinder-Paetsch
Kalinin-Pratt
Shake things up for a little bit see how they react? Idk just an idea

They lost who cares who the best player was. Oh and Teh stop making excuses if this team is any good they'll win with injuries but they are just not a good team. Thank that joke front office for that!

As I hope most of you know here I try to be funny and not doomsday,I really try. Thanks to most of you for picking up on that.
P.S. Lindy looked like he could punch a baby after that game.
