Anyone have Qs about stocks ask away...
I for one would like to know what is the significance in a company like IBM doing a massive stock buy back... the market seemed to love it. What gives?

Helps breath life into the stock....supply and demand. Less shares out there will create more demand.
I wish CISCO would do a large buy back, lord knows the stock needs it.

haha....i don't think they'll buyback anytime soon. usually most companies doing a buy back are old school/value stocks.

I'm not worried about AAPL.
What is the meaning of P/E and what is a good ratio?

P/E is Price Earnings ratio....it basically tells you how expensive or cheap a stock is. There is no real good/bad ratio. It completely depends on the sector the stock is in and if it's a growth/value stock.
