View Full Version : Two Bandits to start in All Star game...

Two Buffalo Bandits will be starters in this years 2008 All Star game. Mark Steenhuis and John Tavares will be two of the starters for the Eastern Squad. Darris Kilgour will also be the assistant coach. The game is being played in Edmonton.

Well deserved for them, they're both having outstanding years so far.

Among the other Eastern starters, Athan Iannucci (Philly), John Grant Jr (Rochester), Ryan Cousins (Minnesota) and Nick Patterson (Minnesota) in goal.


Western starters:

Jeff Zywicki (San Jose)
Dan Carey (Colorado) --- Also a Canisius graduated and lacrosse player.
Gavin Prout (Colorado)
Eric Martin ( San Jose)
Brodie Merill (Portland)
Gee Nash (Colorado) Goalie


Keep an eye on Iannucci of Philly for the Easte and Zywicki of San Jose for the west, they are big time up and coming stars battling for league MVP rights at this point. The rest of the squads will be named later this week.

no it won't, it's an allstar game. the only one that was semi-interesting was when it was on NBC, so all the players played fairly hard. normally it's a bore.

haha, i like the NLL one... i'd watch the NLL one over any other major league allstar game

If you haven't seen Iannucci yet get to HSBC this saturday...holy jeebus is this kid for real! A banged up Bandits team will have problems matching up against him. He can flat out pwn!

The ASG's have been pretty solid the past few years and hopefully the trend continues but I still wish it was done after the Championship game. Cuz bangin' around can really change a teams playoff hopes.

Iannucci will be the deciding factor in this game i think and the ability of the bandits D to shut him down... otherwise it'll be a long night

Chris White is a reserve for the East as well, rounding out the Bandits in the ASG. Three guys, not too shabby.
