A big screen ad for a Daniel Briere promotion brought some of the loudest boos. Briere has been a disappointment in his first season in Philadelphia and entered a with a disastrous rating of minus-22, easily the worst on the Flyers.

At even strength, a player receives a + every time his team scores a goal when he is on the ice, and a (-) every time the other team scores a goal when he is on the ice. Power Plays don't count. So for tonight, Briere's line was scored against twice, and did not score, which made him (-2) for the game. He is more valuable to the Flyers when he is on the bench during even strength situations. Last year for the season with the Sabres, he was +17, but he was playing for a contract then.
