How about them littering the ice with debris (I love that word) & cooling down their swarming home side so they didn't have a chance with 25 seconds remaining?
:baghead:

Are there any Ottawa fans outside of Ottawa?

all ottawa fans are really just candian or leaf fans anyways, they pretend to cheer for ottawa just so they can say they are "different" and that puck never even came close to crossing the line

(from an anonymous Ottawa Senators fan)
We met in a secluded field, the sun nearly kissing the evening
horizon. The warm breeze was full of that earthy, musky scent that only those
fortunate enough to live outside the urban rat race know, and a quiet
whispering of leaves in the weeping willow overhead added the final
touch to the most romantic scene.
We lay there, both naked. I knew I had to have her, and have her now.
Without a word being spoken, I moved to a position of dominance. I
could feel instantly that this was what she was waiting for as she
frantically thrust her pelvis at my approaching organ. I moved slowly
at first, inch by inch, until I was fully inside her. Then as the
tension rose, we threw caution to the wind and abandoned ourselves to
the moment.
Although inexperienced, she approached every change of position with
enthusiasm, moaning with despair every time I withdrew to prevent
myself ending it all too soon. As the sexual tension heightened towards the
inevitable mind blowing climax, it was all I could do to hold out any
longer.
Finally, the moment we had been building up to was upon us, and passed
all too quickly. Breathlessly we rolled together in the now damp
grass. As the last deep orange glow of the long setting sun melted
into the darkness of approaching night, we lay there still entwined in an
amorous embrace.
I kissed her long and lovingly, and whispered reassuringly how good
she had been. She tenderly and sensuously licked my inner ear then
whispered, 'Baaa' and rejoined the flock.

In a way, I think bdauff has a small point. Fans in the Ottawa valley had no team for decased upon decades. If you like hockey, chances are it was the Leafs or Habs. If that was the case, chances are you're a second, third or forth generation fan of that club, so why switch teams now? I know I would NEVER adopt the Sens if I moved to Ottawa. Now, if a person didn't like hockey before the sens came along, that tells me they're just bandwagoners. JMO.

I could see that happening in Montreal if it were a Leafs-Habs series.

I disagree 100%. I’m a Yankees fan. If Buffalo were to get an MLB team tomorrow (This would NEVER happen). I would be an instant fan. I would go to many of the games, buy hats, watch the games on TV. I’m a believer that you should always root for your HOMEtown team. The reason I say HOMEtown is because if you move, you should stick with your original HOMEtown team.

I'm praying in tongues for a leafs-habs eastern conference final!!! :D
May 9th, 2002, 10:34:47 AM
That's you, not me. I'm a Leafs fan 'till death do we part.
"if you move, you should stick with your original HOMEtown team."
Doesn't this varify my point? If you're a leafs fan and move somewhere else you should stick with the Leafs. That's what I'm hearing this statement tell me.

My sister's a Sens fan (season ticket holder) and lives with a guy who's a Leafs fan. I bet there's not too much nookie goin' on there during hockey season, unless it's make-up nookie.

Exactly my point. I'm arguing what you said about Ottawa fans. You say that most of them were Leaf or Canadians fans, so why change. I say, that when Ottawa got a team 10 years ago, the people of Ottawa were justified to drop their loyalties to both the Canadians and the Leafs

I was in Tampa in Jan 2000 with a buddy from Brampton. We saw the Bucs/Redskins playoff game in the afternoon & then scooted over to the Lightning's arena to watch the Lightning play the Panthers.
We thought "Divisional Rivalry..this should be good!"
Boy was I wrong...the place was like a tomb. The folks in our section had no idea what was going on & didn't know when to cheer, boo, etc. Overall my worst hockey experience....

They couldn't have been very loyal or long-time fans. I can't imagine cheering for any team other than the Leafs (or the Bills), regardless of where I lived. If Ann arbor got a pro team of any kind, I wouldn't drop any loyalties.

Well, we'll have to agree to disagree.
May 9th, 2002, 11:33:22 AM
I don't agree to that. :D

Well we should work our some sort of agreement......I break out in hives if I leave something unsettled.

ok. How's this: Go Bills!

Nope, the Canadian government agency, Le Commision du Fans d'Hice Hockey issued this edict in 1995 after much parlimentary debate over the issue;
It is an offence, punishable by removal of Canadian Citizenship to cheer for the Ottawa Senators Ice Hockey Club if you were born prior to October 8, 1992.

Nope, you'd have to become a Sabre fan by default & renounce your Canadian citizenship.

That's right, quaker...that would bring most Canadians down to @ 110 lol. We only scoff at people who truly don't know hockey.
