First install, went with Kubuntu - very simple. Setup on an old Dell G1 Pentium III box. Using Konqueror for now. Any must haves or have nots?

jwm or fluxbox for a windows manager will speed up your computer noticeably, too.

Get Open Arena if you're into FPS deathmatches. Lots of people play and your system will handle it too. :niterider

Is there one version better than the other for low resource systems (PII laptop) Fedora, Kubuntu, Puppy, etc or are they all pretty much the same?

the package manager kind of sucks, though. and installing from a tar.gz is a pain in the tuckus.
