Well, it's obvious to me now. We need Timmy on the power play. :D Good to see him get his first points, and here's my plan for him:
Play him wherever when he's feeling great. When he's sore, tough shit, suck it up and play... but only play him on the power play... and kill too if he's feeling up for it. Maybe 4 or 5 mins a game. He can replace Peters. :)
Da BuFfAlO dAnGlEr is back!

Or we can wrap him in bubble wrap and duck tape.

Just keep loading him up with Cortizone shots and/or Loritabs, or whatever the hell they're giving him. If it's illegal, so what? The Sabres need him on the powerplay.

I didn't realize how HUGE of an impact he is on the PP. Glad to have him back.

As I've said, it's not a coincidence that the Sabres' offense took a nosedive without Maxim and Timmay in the lineup. Timmay has clearly helped the PP, now we need Max back to help out 5x5.

Even if he's sore tonight, just play him on the power play. No need for him on the 4th line, we can get Roy to double shift. Get him in there. I want to punch the Leafs in the teeth.
I just want him out there dangling, it's like the whole game just slows way the hell down when he has the puck....

He's paid way too much to be an injury prone PP Specialist

Look, what he's paid is over and done with. He's injured. Here are your choices: Play once in a while and get hurt worse and then be DONE, or just play on the PP and get us 2+ goals a game.
I'll take option B thanks.

I say we call up Berman and get some of those Deux Deux Deux's for Timmy, give him that extra pop. 8% codine never hurt anyone right?

The respect other teams have for Connolly is evident. When he has the puck on the PP, the Defense backs off. There's nobody else on the Sabres opposing D's are afraid to challenge.

Until he gets Francois LeRoux-ed.

Until he gets Francois LeRoux-ed.
That can happen to anybody though. Most people forget Connolly was a bit of an iron man at one point. He averaged 81 games played his first 4 seasons in the league. So is he really injury prone? Or is it just a string of bad luck?

Great point! I've been a Connolly fan throughout and defended he & Pyatt on many occasions. My concerns have changed now that there's a salary cap. I parallel this season to the year we lost LaFontaine to injury. Once Patty was down, we had Plante and Peca, with Holzinger and Brown to fill in from Rochester. Too much youth after losing Hawerchuk 2 seasons prior. I guess what I'm trying to say as I go around my elbow to get to my a**hole is that we're scary thin at Center and Tim's ability to become injured concerns me to the point of searching for a better every shift option.
