This one is from Scott Morrison, who is a frequent contributor on HNIC's Satellite Hotstove. Nothing really new here, but here you go in any case.

Sabres hope to hang on to Campbell

The Buffalo Sabres haven't given up all hope on re-signing pending unrestricted free-agent Brian Campbell. Talks are still continuing, although it is widely believed that if there isn't an agreement by the trade deadline the Sabres will deal him.

Now that no less than 4 Canadian internet sources have mentioned the Campbell situation, something must be up soon.

Of course something is up, the deadline is less than 2 weeks away and if he refuses to signed he will get traded. Just because some Canadians are talking about campbell doesn't mean anything.

You're missing my point. Up to now, all we've been fed are rumours by writers who have dubious reliability at best. Now we have writers who have actual sources like Mckenzie and Morrison.
I do the same thing when I look at NFL news. If a tsn.ca guy like Jesse Palmer says something, I read it, but I pay a lot more attention if Peter King says something.

Scotty Morrison is worth listening to he has sources deep inside the league that we only wish we could talk to.
