All these practice notes have added some additional knowledge. So here is what I am thinking now.

1- Keith Rivers OLB, USC --> I wasn't sold on drafting a LB this early, but Rivers has apparently been thoroughly impressive and Ellis will probably be gone here.

2- Jordy Nelson WR, K-State --> Was one of the most physically fit WRs at the senior bowl and has great speed to match amazing stats.

3- Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie CB--> I forgot his school, but he is a small-school guy who I think will last this long because of concerns over his level of competition. Although he has played extremely well.

3- Jermichael Finely TE, TEX --> I think the other TEs will be gone by now, but he might be the most athletic of the bunch. All scouts are saying is he needs to add bulk, which I truly believe will not be a huge problem.

4- Owen Schmitt FB, WVU --> 4th round is usually where the top FBs go. We could let him go here and hope to grab him later, but I think its better to grab him now.

5- Mike McGlynn OL, Pitt --> He can play all OL positions and is also a long-snapper. So he fills two needs with one selection.

5- Darnell Terrell CB, Mizzou --> A 6'3" CB who runs a 4.4 That's enough for me. Has some concerns in coverage, but is worth a look here and could be a great nickel back to slide over on taller WRs in the red zone.

6- Red Bryant DT --> I forget his school as well, but he is a 6'5" 330 DT that is a rock in the middle. He's a perfect run-stuffer for a team that has been unable to stop the run at all. He could last this long because he is not a complete player and doesn't provide much in the way of pass-rush.

7- Josh Johnson QB, San Diego --> Went from undrafted to a late round pick. A project QB, but a QB with a lot of athleticism and a great value here.

Nice, But Bryant is a bust Johnson won't last long he might go to Balt. and Terrell is a whooping boy.

Cromartie from Tenn St. and I'd take a shot at Okam over Bryant. And Chevis and Tryon over Terrell. IMO.

If we got Jordy Nelson in the 2nd I'd be pumped...the next great white WR in my opinion.

What makes you think Bryant is a bust? He'd a great run-stuffer. Something we need desperately.

Also, Terrell is not drafted as a starting corner. As a 5th round pick, he has excellent measurables and might turn into a great 3rd corner. Chevis has been beat during the senior bowl and is looking vulnerable.

I think the second round is way too early for Nelson, he might be a third round guy there are so many other guys in the WR class with better measurables and more upside, I see Nelson as a third or fourth round guy, thats not a knock on him as a player, but the way the draft is, a solid football player, who will always be a solid player is actually hurt by these meat markets and the workout warriors are the ones who wind up helping their stock. But then things even out in the long run. Also I like the Rodgers-Comartie pick, but after the week he's having in Mobile, the Bills might have to use the second rounder to get him. I don't like the Finley pick he's a third year sophomore and I have seen a bunch of Texas games the past two years and can't say I even remember him being on the field, this is a very deep TE class the Bills can get away with taking a guy like John Carlson or Craig Stevens in the third or fourth rounds.

If Bryant is that DT from TA&M, picture a lumbering Langston Walker.

Ok, first comment: Nelson has been one of those workout warriors. Mild right now, but his speed is good and his measurables were very impressive. Not to mention, he has consistently been mentioned as having stood out for something (mostly always positive) during practices. He has been burning good CBs and has risen up over guys like DJ Hall and Bowman. With the amount of WRs who will go in the late 1st and 2nd rounds, I can't see him being there in the 3rd.

As for Finely, I know that he is a raw prospect, but his upside is higher than almost any TE in the draft. The elite guys like Davis, Rucker and Carlson will probably all be gone by the 3rd round. He had 45 catches for 575 yards and 2 TDs this year. For a guy who didn't see the field, the numbers aren't all that bad.

Many reports from the Senior Bowl practices have said that Bryant has been getting good push and has been really hard to move. I know he is uber agile or quick, but neither was Ted Washington or Sam Adams, but they did a great job of stopping the run and eating blockers.
