Philadelphia Phillies catcher Chris Coste's 2nd book titled "The 33-Year-Old Rookie" will be released March 18. I know I will purchase a copy of the book. Chris was a good player for the Bisons, but even more he was a guy who gave 100% each game and did whatever the club needed. He started his first season with the Bisons in Double A Akron because the Bisons were so stacked. But he came up in midseason and was a fixture on the roster for the next few season. It is weird to hear of of a guy in his late 20's playing in Double A. When he came up he played everywhere. He played his normal position of catcher, he played second, first, outfield and I believe he finished some games off on the mound. It was great when he got the shot with the Phillies a couple of years ago. Maybe he don't have the greatest talent, but he was a guy who keep trying and giving his all and finally made it to the bigs. We have seen a lot of Major League players go through Buffalo, but I feel better about a Coste the a guy like Bartlo Colon who is wasting his great talent because he won't stop eating. Give me the John McDonalds, Billy Ripkens or Chris Costes anyday.
