Yea but you are going to have to wait 30-90 days to get it. I got the Best Buy warranty ... I just bring my Xbox in every time it breaks and they give me a new one on the spot no questions asked.

Just go to xbox's website, get the kit to send it in and do it, my friends broke down twice and he's gotten back with 2-3 weeks, now it works fine.

I've had mine(regular 360 one) for about a yr and had no problems with it. Alot of the new systems have bugs in it so I wait for a few months for them to fix all that shit.

Do you have an aftermarket fan? Check the power brick and the status light.

You could always try the towel trick, if the red light your talking about is the RROD)Red Ring of Death). It is a temporary fix untill microsoft sends you the box. Check youtube for the towel trick.
