'07 AL Manager of the Year Eric Wedge to Speak

The Buffalo Bisons today announced that they will host their annual Hot Stove Luncheon on Friday, February 1 at the Pearl Street Grill & Brewery at 12:00 p.m. The keynote speaker will be Cleveland Indians Manager and former Bisons manager Eric Wedge. Wedge was named American League Manager of the Year following the 2007 season as he led his team to within one game of the World Series.

Cost of the luncheon is just $20 and will include a buffet from Pearl Street Grill & Brewery (you can also reserve a table of eight for $160). Each fan in attendance will also receive a ticket certificate to either of the Bisons Opening Day Weekend games: Saturday, April 12 or Sunday, April 13 against the Toledo Mud Hens. Fans can purchase tickets for the Hot Stove Luncheon by calling the Bisons at (716) 846-2011.

"Eric is one of the most respected leaders in all of baseball," said Mike Buczkowski, Vice President/General Manager of the Buffalo Bisons. "It should be a lot of fun to hear him recount what was an amazing season by an Indians in 2007.

"Most of the players he had on that Tribe team were former Bisons, so we felt he would be a memorable speaker for our fans."
