Who is going to take charge?

Campbell? The most important player on the team hints that he wants "out" and seems to be playing like he doesn't want to get injured

Vanek or Roy? The two best scoring forwards can't even earn an "A" on a team that has very little competition for the letters


Spacek or Connolly? Can't lead from the training room

Lydman? the "C" on his vest stood for curse because he's playing like he's cursed

Mair? Leads like a captain but ultimately you can't look at a 4th line winger to be your leader. Hasn't even earned an "A" yet (See Vanek, Roy)

I'm really starting to re-think the decision not to sign Peca in the offseason.

If they can't retain Campbell or trade him for a captain-worthy player before the deadline, they'll be in REALLY BAD SHAPE for next season.

Right now, the confidence is so low, its probably a safe guess that no one will take charge, because everyone is having equal amounts of frustration.

Oh, and Campbell isn't playing like he doesn't want to be injured. He was all over the place against the Rangers and skates through the neutral zone and across the opponents blue line like he simply doesn't care.

Kinda like: "Do something...c'mon, stop me...do something."

Put the 'C' on Hecht and call it a day. The players voted him Captain to start the season, he's the only guy to receive a letter in each month, and he's leading by example.

Vanek, can't really do anything right now but waste hard cash.

Roy, wasn't playing that poorly. A captain really isn't do a whole lot for this team. Someone has to start putting the puck in.

and P.S, I'm still mad we let Peca go 7 years ago, the next year, we should as hell could've used him vs Lemiuex and Jagr...Probably would've won that series.
