UB To Hold National Signing Day Event

Turner Gill</td></tr></tbody></table>BUFFALO, NY – For the first time in school history, National Football Signing Day will be an event open to the public at the University at Buffalo. Third-year head coach Turner Gill will announce his 2008 recruiting class in an event free to the public at Alumni Arena on Wednesday, February 6 at 6:30 pm.
Gill will announce the players that will be joining the UB football team in 2008 and show highlights of their high school careers.
Gill, the 2007 MAC Coach of the Year, has made a splash with his first two recruiting classes. In the Bulls' breakout season of 2007, 12 different players from Gill's first two recruiting classes cracked the starting lineup. In addition, as a true freshman Davonte Shannon (Jeannette, PA/Jeannette) became the first UB player to be named All-MAC First Team. Naaman Roosevelt (Buffalo, NY/St. Joseph's Collegiate) and Larry Hutchinson (Seattle, WA/Franklin) earned third-team All-MAC honors.
In addition to the National Signing Day announcements, current members of the UB football team will be on hand to sign autographs.
