This is my first attempt at a full 7 round mock draft. As you will see, I think the Bills are in big need of size. We got pushed around all over the field. Our smallish defenders bouncing off the opposing ball carriers and missing tackles. Our D-line getting put in place by the other teams O-lines more often than not. Our need for a big red zone target on offense. I may have sacraficed a little speed, but I think this draft would give us much needed size on both sides of the ball.

1. Malcolm Kelly, WR Oklahoma - A tall go to WR in the red zone, not a blazer, but still very fast runner. The best player at a need position when we pick.

2. Dre Moore, DT Maryland - Big, Fast, and most importantly, Strong. Would look great next to McCargo as our run stuffer.

3A. Ezra Butler, OLB Nevada - Big and fast. May actually be better suited for strong side, but fast enough to play weak side. Gives our LB's the size we desperately need, without sacraficing speed.

3B. Darnell Terrell, CB Mizzu - Has the height and speed to play against the bigger WR's in the league, like Randy Moss, who we currently have no answer for.

4. Dustin Keller, TE Purdue - A nice big target in the middle of the field and in the red zone. Has good hands and deceptive speed for his size.

5A. Doug Legursky, C Marshall - Very steady and dependable. A lot like what we already have in Fowler, but you can hope for a diamond in the ruff here.

5B. Eric Foster, DE Rutgers - Got to the QB as a DT for Rutgers, but is projected as a DE in the NFL. Hopefully his size can help against the run. Reminds me a little of Anthony Hargrove.

6. Ricky Santos, QB New Hampshire - need a project for a #2. This guy did nothing but perform during his time in New Hampshire. Very good college career in both yards and TD's.

7A. Tad Miller, G Boise St. - We need depth on the line and this guy is good at plowing running lanes.

7B. Nelson Coleman, ILB Tulsa - a tackiling machine. We need real LB's, not converted safeties.

I could not remember where our pick from Chicago, for Darwin Walker was a 5th or 6th rounder, so that pick is reflected as my 5B. I also think we go CB with undrafted FA.

What do you think? Be kind. :bills:

I like it.

I'm officially sold on Malcomb Kelly too.

Sorry, but I'm definitely convinced about going defense first; either DT (if Ellis somehow falls) or WLB (Rivers). I'd much prefer to take a WR in FA (e.g., Hackett; B Johnson; Carter; etc.) than draft one in the first round - you're much more likely to go through significant potty training time (Bowe was a rarity). It's certainly not a crazy mock but I would do things differently myself.

Actually I would much rather take a DT or LB in the first as well, and I really am high on Bryant Johnson and Carlos Dansby in FA. However, since FA is still a couple of months away, my mock is for the needs we have today. I would take Ellis over Kelly if he is there, but I don't see him getting past Cinnci.

It's true. Very very few rookie WRs do anything in this league. If we're looking to get better now, then a FA WR is going to do a lot more for us than a rook.

I would like to see a Center taken a little higher, OLB is a position that they can address in Free Agency. DT and a big WR are a must at the top of the draft, I woukld expect to see a C and CB early in the second day.
