Did any team from Florida win thier bowl game? Not USF, Florida, Florida St, or UCF...
FAU! Thats right... the saving grace. How long before they start recruiting in New Jersey for some talent? ;)

Well, Miami didn't lose. :D
In all seriousness, this has been a topic of discussion down here for a while. With the emergence of USF and UCF the talent was starting to spread out, and thin out, Florida, FSU, and Miami.
Now, throw in FAU, and even schools like FIU and FAMU, and it's only going to get worse and continue to spread the talent around. You may see a Florida or a Miami or another Florida team dominate one year, but gone are the days of the Big-3 all consistently being atop the college football world at once.
And by the way, Clemson, Georgia, WVU, and a few others (Rutgers and Louisville, too) have done a great job of taking away some of the talent from the Sunshine State in recent years.
Florida still has the best talent in the nation, player-for-player, in HS football. But there are now a lot more DI-A (FBS) programs for them to choose from. In most states, there re only one or two biggies for homegrown kids.

I think he was being sarcastic......basically saying that schools in Florida need to start looking elsewhere (like NJ) if they want to get some talent, because with that bowl record, they must not have any at home (which is obviously not true).

Rusty Smith is a very good QB and you will see him on Sundays. Schnellenberger will has this team on record pace to play with anyone.
