As the draft is still a few months away, I noticed from many early mocks that receivers are going late first round....from the WR'S that I have seen members of the range would like to see in a Bills uniform, are not even top 5 on many charts....why not trade down for more picks,or draft a stud at #11, and grab WR (Hardy) in 2nd... Just my opinion, whats yours ?

trading down unless something totally unexpected falls into our lap.

I tend to agree, I think if we trade down and gain more picks it would be ideal....

Hardy as first pick then TE Freddy Davis in the 2nd, C Justice in the 3rd, and CB Porter out of Indiana as our 2nd 3rd round pick and after that FB Hillis and LB Beau Bell. As far as DT I say we try our best to sign FA Corey Williams from Green Bay. We should also go after Karlos Dansby from Arizona for Ellisons replacement.

I watched James Hardy for the first time tonight, in the Insight Bowl and he dropped 3 balls right in his hands. The Bills need a play-maker, who's consistent each and every play throughout an entire 60 minute ball game. From what I saw tonight, I wouldn't draft him in the 1st rd., unless we traded down and he was the best available WR on the board at the time. Adarius Bowman from OSU outplayed Hardy by leaps and bounds and the kid loves to stick his nose in there on running plays. Something for which we are desperately lacking from our WR's, is the ability to block downfield. Bowman is a little stiff on his routes, but he's got long arms and good hands and a strong build at 6-4 220 lbs. He had a pretty catch down the sidelines for about 40 yds., he'll definitely be available to the Bills later in the first rd. of the draft, if they decide to trade down.

If Marv was still the GM (which I wish he was, but oh well), I'd say there's no chance we're trading down. Maybe the new GM will be more willing to move down, not just up.

trade down if possible and get more picks, we can get a good WR later in the first.

I see it as problem #1 and 1a... Stopping the run and a go to WR. If Laurinaitis or Ellis falls to 11 grab them. One of the four tall WRs (Kelly, Hardy, Bowman or Sweed) will fall into the 2nd.

I would like to trade down, and add another 2nd rounder, at least.... with that, draft WR at end of first, with 2 2nds, grag Davis @ TE, then with other second, Connor, highsmith, or justice from wake forest (Center)

There are still lots of possibilities. If Buffalo wants one of the top big receivers, I think they are all reaches at #11, so you're talking trade down. Ellis is certainly a possiility there as is a top linebacker. I think Buffalo will probably do something in free agency, that will almost certainly affect draft strategy. I'm not going to lock myself into thinking it has to be this guy or that guy. That's a guaranteed route to getting bent out of shape.

Considering we are going to have a businessman not a football personnel man as our new GM don't expect miracles. I wouldn't be shocked if we did something brilliant like drafting a safety and making him our new DT.

I like Martin Rucker from Missouri better than Davis. I live in L.A. I'm an SC fan. Davis is very athletic and has great games. He also has games when I don't know he's on the field. Could be the injury Booty had and Sanchez came in to sub for him. I just get a "feeling" about Rucker. But I would be happy either way. We NEED to draft a TE.

we need a solid #2 WR - there is no doubt

I would just rather address it through free agency than the draft - we need a guy to step in and make an immediate impact

My choices would be Bryant Johnson or Laverneus Coles (if he gets cut)

We need top 100 picks at WR, TE, DT, CB, C. One trade down and we can do it all. If we get a DT and or WR in free agency, I'd still want top 100 picks at those positions (thats how weak we are at those spots).

Do this draft like last year. Kelly in the first, move up in the second by trading one of the thirds and going after Connor, and Carlson in the third. Sign Corey Williams, Ernest Wilford and I would love to take Mcgee off his duties, Cut Aiken and sign Andre Davis. Never should've let him walk.
