They are going to have only Canadian entertainers performing at the Winter Classic? Two US teams, the first outdoor NHL game in the US and they have to turn it into a Canadian event?

Well they had the Goo Goo Dolls play at the NHL All-Star Game a couple years ago, and while it would make perfect sense to bring them in for the Winter Classic I doubt they even thought of it. It's all politics when it comes down to it, a huge event like this could be bigger than the All-Star game. Big events mean big money all around, and record companies fork over big bucks for their artists to get in on stuff like this.

Well Roman Tynan is singing God Bless America and he isn't Canadian.

The intermission entertainment is a Juno Award-winning Canadian by the name of Sam Roberts (Who?). Ronan Tynan is Irish, and the anthem singer, Doug Allen, is American. It's a veritable melting pot.

Our Lady Peace is sweet but if they are going to have a Canadian band, the should have the greatest band of all time. Of Salesmen!

The Goo Goo Dolls had their New Year's Eve show in Las Vegas scheduled when they announced the game (or soon after, it was announced a few months back). Had their schedule been free, I'm sure they would have got them to come play. Would've made too much sense.

Doug Allen is supposed to be at the arena singing the anthem, so I don't think he will be at the Ice Bowl.

Irish tenor Ronan Tynan will sing "God Bless America" and long-time Buffalo Sabres anthem singer Doug Allen will perform the Canadian National Anthem prior to the start of the game.
