Trouble in Buckeye land and the game hasn't even started.
Top-ranked Ohio State will be without two cornerbacks -- one a starter and the other a top reserve -- who have been suspended for the Allstate BCS Championship Game against LSU, according to media reports.
Donald Washington, a sophomore who has started every game this season for the Buckeyes (11-1), and backup Eugene Clifford were suspended for violating team rules, WCMH-TV and The Columbus Dispatch reported Wednesday.

It sucks... but we're deep at DB...we can handle this...LSU isn't mych of a down field passing team anyway. At least it happened early so the other guys can get reps...
Our best DB, Malcolm Jenkins, was able to play the Star position (roaming safety) because of the emergence of Chekwa, a redshirt freshman... he and Washington manned the corners while Jenkins had options....
Now it will be Chekwa and Jenkins at Corners, and any number of our other DB's filling in on passing situations as the extra safety or corner...
Don't get me wrong, losing Washington hurts... he's gonna play on Sunday, but we have more than adequate replacements.

Local radio station 1460The Fan is reporting that in an official statement from The University it was only Clifford (the backup) that has been suspended.
It appears that, as of now, Doald Washington will be eligible to play in the BCS title game.
Here is the offcial release from Senator Tressel:

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State defensive back Eugene Clifford has been suspended from preparations for the Buckeyes’ BCS championship game with LSU in New Orleans Jan. 7.
He was suspended by head coach Jim Tressel for a violation of team rules and will not play in the BCS championship game.
The Buckeyes resume practice for the bowl game on Dec. 26 in Columbus.
Looks like the previous reports, from an outside source, jumped the gun a bit.
losing Clifford isn't that big a deal at all.

Did I say all? No I just said that punk that was breaking the rules!!! And it's tough to break rules in Columbus because they really don't have any other than take the check when it's handed to you and don't ask where the new car came from. So obviously this idiot should be sitting too.
