Word.. I buy stuff from ebay regularly... no problems. Buy from sellers with good ratings and you'll be okay. :niterider

Yeah just watch the sellers feedback, check their latest completed auctions and you should be fine. Use Paypal, their dispute resolution department is effective.
Its tougher to get top value as a seller but you can get some hella deals if you're patient.

If you sell expect to not please everyone. There are a lot of people that will complain when buying from you from time to time. I have sold some things and I have bought more things on there. You can get some great deals and you can also make some money on things that you sell. All in all it's a positive thing.

Works great. For buying, I mostly get clothes and shoes (XL Tall and 15E shoes) that I can get delivered right to my door for cheap.
I've bought weird stuff like an outboard motor from a guy in New Jersey and a motorcycle engine bottom end from a guy in Vancouver.
Electronics...an 8 gb SDHC card for my digital camera for less than 1/2 price of what it is at Best Buy.
The only thing I would warn Canadian buyers about is if you get it shipped UPS from the US, the pirate fees that UPS charges for 'brokerage' on packages are ridiculous.
Always insist that they send cross-border packages via USPS...much cheaper.
I've also sold old SLR cameras, motorcycle parts, gamecube games, etc.
Out of maybe 100-130 transactions, I've had about 2 bad ones, but if you use PayPal, you're protected.
