Cardinals trade Jimmy Ballgame

A sad day for most Cardinals fans (me included) as the Cardinals traded away Jim Edmonds yesterday for a minor leaguer. He's past his prime but I wanted to see him finish out his deal and retire a Cardinal.

Colby Rasmus will probably get a shot to move from AA to the bigs this year as he's our best prospect.

Rasmus is on my keeper list and sadly one of the few Cards prospects getting any real pub.Thanks for this update BF.

He is definately going to get a shot in spring training to make the big league club. He's definately the best prospect we have. That's why we didn't get into talks for some of the big name guys up for trade. They deemed Rasmus untouchable.
