If you count Randle-El, Indiana also has three. And Matt Jones was the QB at Arkansas. That would be their only one according to this list.

There could be more who switched, as well.

I actually made this list for myself a few weeks ago when I was really bored. Doesn't it seem weird to see Fresno St up and Washington up there with Mich, Miami, and USC? It really shows that recruiting QBs for college really doesn't mean much.

Now that Orton is starting...Purdue is the only school in the nation that can say it has two starting QBs in the NFL in Week 15.

Coach. Most of those guys are NOT from big name schools/programs. Any hypothesis as to why?

Well, look at Miami's quarterbacks. Berlin was horrible in NFL Europe and Testaverde is half retired. It's a surprise to see them up there.

But maybe Kyle Wright will be a star. :D

4 QB's from the MAC. Leftwich and Pennington played for Marshall when they were in the MAC, Charlie Frye from Akron and Big Ben from Miami of Ohio

Michigan will have two today, too. Collins and Brady.

Also, I found a mistake:
Central Florida - Daunte Culpepper

I'll add him.

LOTS of reasons, Pete.

First, there simply aren't enough QBs who come out of "big-time" programs every year to fill the NFL up. You have to get QBs from all different schools.

But there are so many different offensive styles being run in college today that a lot of the guys coming out just aren't made and/or ready to play the NFL game, where they are "forced" to run a pro-style offense.

Plus, a lot of things happen in four years. Some of the lesser-recruited QBs go on to a smaller school then realy develop their skills very well compared to some of the guys who already hit a ceiling their first year or two in college.

Of course coaching in college is also a big factor. A good QB who likes to study and learn + the right coach/teacher can make for a very healthy career at the position, even at the next level.
