Tim Tebow
Colt Brennan
Chase Daniel
Darren McFadden

No real surprises ON the list. How about surprises left OFF the list?

FinNasty's boy Kevin Smith is one that comes to mind.

Every day I go back and forth between Tebow and McFadden. But, in the end, I'd probably put it this way:

1. Tebow
2. McFadden
3. Dennis Dixon
4. Kevin Smith
5. Brennan

Dixon should have been a finalist, depite his injury. He still did enough. He was my #1 until he missed those games.

Its hard to argue with what Tebow is doing this year.... it really is. his numbers have been amazing.

But IMO there are other players in the nation who could do the same thing in his place... I think Dixon could for sure. Even Chase daniel, if he played in an Urban Meyer offense, could do similar things (not the inside stuff so much) there are probably more guys.

i don't think ANYONE can do what McFadden can.

McFadden is the best player in the country. He single handedly beat LSU. Arkansas didnt have the best year but he made that team what they are.

It's a crime if Tebow doesn't win it. The year Eric Crouch won the Heisman, he had, what, seven touchdown passes and 10 interceptions? Granted, his team, unlike Tebow's, went to the national title game. However, you simply can't take for granted that Tebow had 51 total touchdowns while playing on a team that's part of arguably college football's best conference. This isn't a Colt Brennan situation, where a QB amasses tons of TDs against low-level competition.

much liek there is no great team there is no great candidate, to say no one can do what mcfadden does ignores that felixz jones rocked the mic for that team.

and tebow rocking great comeptition

15 of his 31 td passes came against troy, western kentucky, vanderbilt, florida atlantic, and florida state

and 8 rushing tds against those same teams, I left out ole miss but that's 4 more touchdowns.

So would that make Dixon your #1 had he not missed time? I just don't see where Dixon even compares...

Look, it's not even close. I love Darren McFadden but his only prayer is the voters not wanting to give it to a Sophomore, which would be criminal. Tim Tebow has to be the Heisman winner.

22 Rushing Touchdowns... which is 7 more than Darren McFadden and is an all-time SEC record. That is insane for a quarterback who doesn't run an option offense.

51 Total TD's by a single player in a conference like the SEC is incredible. Tebow should run away with it.

... and I hate the Gators.

I think Tebow is probably going to win, and it's hard to argue that. I don't even have a problem with a sophmore winning it. What I do have a problem with, is that there have been more deserving sophmores in the past who should have won it, and didn't. McFadden last year for example, and Hershel Walker. If Walker didn't win it becasue he was a sophmore, then Tebow shouldn't either.
