Has there ever been a trade with two superstars moving one way?

i know Willis had a down year, but he's still talented

I thought the Angels deal for Cabrera was better and thought they could have dealt Willis seperately for another nice package

But the Marlins are pretty good at scouting so I'm sure they made out

Just another reason I'm glad the Tigers are in the Central. Yes they're giving up A LOT, but getting Cabrera is worth it... add on Willis which will be their #3 starter

I'm really not that big on Miller I always thought he was a bit overrated

Maybin I think is a future all star

The Tigers have returned to "serious contender" status. Good deal for the Marlins, too. I just wish they would have sent these two to a team in the NL, not a big-time AL club.

I never even heard Detroit mentioned in any rumors.

This trade is nuts, and so is the Tigers lineup now. But who knows, you have the best lineup in baseball on paper, doesn't always equate to having the best team in the league!!

All I know is this, the Marlins are excellent at spotting young talent and everytime one of these deals goes down everyone is like "Who did they get?" and then 3-4 years later when they decide to open there wallets again they hoist another WS trophy

Despite the 30 mil pay roll limit the Marlins have an excellent front office. In the end I'm sure the Marlins got the better of this deal

Miggy has reported to have lost 15 pounds...look for him to come back big time in 2008.

Maybin and Miller + is the best the Marlins could have hoped for.

I don't know about the better of the deal, Cabrera is a hell of a player. But the fish will get some players back. They did it with the Beckett deal and probably did here.

Damn the Central should be fun. The Tigers were a good team last year, now add in these two guys and they will give the Tribe a run for their money. The Royals seem like they might not be half bad, and the Twins could be good depending on what they get for Santana and if Lirano comes back healthy.

The Marlins got arguable the best positional prospect in baseball in Maybin, and the player considered the best player in the 2006 draft. That's 2 elite players, good trade for the Marlins going forward.

Detroit just moved ahead of the Yankees and behind Boston in the AL for now.

well, you trade your heart and soul of your team and you get a bunch of minor leaguers...true, the marlins have insane scouting so maybe this may turn out pretty good for the Fish...

Let's go Fish!!!
