Sabres will be 2nd in division in 10 days. Count them: 10 days. If I'm wrong, may I be banned from this forum for life.
We've played the fewest number of games in the conference and we play 7 games in the next 10 days...
Dec 5th - at Ducks
Dec 6th - at Kings
Dec 8th - at San Jose
Dec 10th - vs Boston
Dec 12th - vs Long Island
Dec 14th - at Washington
Dec 15th - vs Chicago
Nostra-buffa-damus proclaims that we will win 6 of the next 7 games in the next 10 days and take 2nd in the division.
***How am I so confident? Well, the last time I took the trouble to predict a few games in this fashion I was one goal off on one (and it was an empty netter) and on the other I guessed the score exactly INCLUDING assuming it would end in OT and not a SO.

You might want to edit this a little.... The Sabres may win 7 of 8, but what if the Habs go on a winning streak as well.... Aren't you assuming the will stay basically stationary??

I'm assuming the Sabres make up enough ground given they have played the fewest number of games in the division and conference...Montreal and Ottawa suck now and Toronto is marginally better.
Boston is playing well, but we get to take 2 points from them within the 10 day span.
Question not the decree of Nostra-buffa-damus...for he has spoken.

That Ducks-Kings-Sharks gauntlet is going to be tough... If they win 2 of those 3, I will be very impressed.

I posted a week ago that the Sabres would be 4th in the conference by January 1st.

I'll throw down like 1,000 chips on a bet? I mean not that I want to root against my home team but I mean its a win win situation....just for the sake of betting

I don't know how many I have, but I'll take this bet with anyone who wants it.
1,000 chips of mine against anyone who thinks the Sabres won't be 2nd in the division after this 7 game stint.
Bring it.

My nightly overreactions might not look too crazy come May when Tommy V and the boys are golfing with the Leafs in Southern Ontario...

Oh I have doubt they're heading for an early playoff exit if the team stays as is...That's hardly an overreaction.
I more meant things like "the 2nd period in the Anaheim game was the worst second period in Sabres history." Good stuff...

It was pretty damn close...
