(Buffalo, NY, November 28, 2007) - - As we told you first on the air and on the web, Lynn DeJac has just been released on her own recognizance.
She was sobbing as she climbed into a cab with her husband and left State Supreme Court.
Statement Regarding DeJac Decision
Early Wednesday afternoon, the spokesperson for the Buffalo Police Department released the following statement regarding Judge Michael D'Amico's decision to grant Lynn DeJac a new trial.
"We respect Judge D'Amico's decision to grant Lynn DeJac a new trial. It's now time to let the legal process play itself out. At this point, we have no further comment".
DeJac has served over 13 years in prison for the strangulation of her daughter Crystallynn Girard. Recently, new DNA evidence has shed new light on the case.
