I know this is old news but I didin't see it posted.
I really like this move for the Reds. Cordero is not a shut down closer, but he is on that next level and a guy you can rely on most nights. This move also allows the Reds to slot other bullpen arms accordingly and have for the 1st time a stable 7-9th inning lineup so the starters (especially the young guns like Bailey and Cueto) only have to go into the 6th.
Now the Reds are another arm and a SS/C away from being a serious contender in a weak NL Central.
