This rumor is floating around Michigan and Iowa message boards.

He's a pretty solid choice IMO.
If i'm a Michigan fan he's alot more appealing than Miles, or some of the other names floating around... he's a Big 10 guy so he already knows the personel, and he'll probably expand the recruiting in Iowa a bit (not that you need to...UM can recruit wherever they want)
Should breath some life into the program... if its true its a good hire.

Michigan will be dominating Ohio State shortly if this is true.

Well, its in Columbus.... so we kinda have to show up.... But Ferentz can probably just bring his scout team and beat us.

They are back-tracking a bit right now.
But they are saying that if not "acceptance," an "offer" to Ferentz would be more along the lines of what has happened so far.

Yeah, no. Kirk, nor can anyone else, turn a school around in one year. Granted, Michigan was never that bad this season, but not a Michigan season. Either way, Ohio State isn't losing next year or the next year to Michigan. Its a good choice for a coach though... until he gets run out of town for not beating Ohio.

He would win at Michigan. He has done a good job at Iowa with less talent than he'd get at Michigan.
