I just wanted to start a thread about the IU football program and thier former coach Terry Hoeppner, who died over the summer at age 59 of a brain tumor.

When Hoeppner was hired he stated to his team that the goal was to "play 13" the 12 games on the schedule, plus a bowl game (something they hadn't done since 1993)

After beating Purdue last Saturday the Hooisers are bowl eligible.... in all likelyhood they'll "play 13"

Hoeppner was part of the Big 10 family, he had Ohio ties coaching at Miami of Ohio, and it was awful when he died.... I think its really cool that the team was able to reach the goal thier late coach set for them, I love storys like that.

Congrats Hoosiers, you got it done for Coach Hoeppner.

Nice post P. While I'm a Notre Dame fan I always follow the progress of the Indiana football team. They are building a nice solid program in Bloomington finally. Lewis to Hardy was a great combo this year.

And they beat Purdue!!! I hate the Boilers and beating them in anything is worth a cheer from me!
