Another pitifull night. As I said after the Carolina game, we are not going to make the playoffs. We'll put on a rush after the allstar break, but, like before the lockout, it won't be enough.

BTW: Our most trade worthy assest is Brian Campbell. He is not worth the 5 million he is going to get at the deadline. I'll take Max at 3 million over Campbell at 5 million. We can get a 1st line center for 51, we can't get anywhere near that for 61.

Garth-
What deadline?

Regier and 51s agent have exchanged offers in the past month. A long term extension will be announced in the next couple of weeks.

Garth- have you heard anything more on Modano? What do you think about the Sabres looking at Jeff O'Neill for a much needed spark?

Thanks.

O'Neill is not the same guy he was in Raleigh. Not worth the headaches. He's skilled, but he's not a fit in Beefalo.

Modano is an interesting topic in some circles I spend time in.

He's a 4.25 guy and he has a lot of hockey left despite his 37 years.

He's achieved all that he can in Dallas/Minney, now might be a great time to try something new. His wife, Willa Ford, works a lot in NYC..

His agent is Ryan Miller's agent, Mike Liut.

I'm told that he likes the East because of the decrease in travel, unlike that of Dallas when team's are sitting in airports and hotels when they are not playing.

He's a Centre, a Hall Of Famer. He's won a Cup. He's worn a C....sounds like Drury, eh?

Stay tuned.

Garth is full of crap, and he writes like a profoundly retarded chimpanzee. How does someone whose writing and grammar skills are that embarrassingly poor get a job covering hockey?

I second the writings of a profoundly retarded chimpanzee...and I raise you the grammar skills of a dyslexic chronic shaker to boot.

I would take someone like madano right now..we are not going to be able to re-sign campbell with the way the market is going, I like campbell and all, but 5 million, come on. We are stuck with Vanek, nice move darcy, so we need someone to come in and take the pressure off of Vanek and try to add a spark..

You're right. The Sabres are overrun with Cup winners and captains.

I would love mike modano on this team(hes my favorite non-sabre). But it won't happen.

I used to like Garth's enthusiasm, but since Ek's been bringing on big name bloggers for other teams, he makes the Sabres look low class. Garth is also getting to be too much of a homer. Every time a Sabre gets hit, it is a cheap shot. I also wish he'd get off the Modano thing.
