Check it out on youtube...it has all sorts of probing questions from CNN asking about the risks of pro wrestling but mainly explores the Benoit incident. They talk to Vince...CM Punk...Cena...and more. Probably the worst was seeing how the Dynamite Kid wound up...It's out there in many parts so here is part one to get started.

The WWE saw this and were none too pleased. CNN took one of Cena's remarks from another question and placed it after a steroid question. This made it look like he used them before. The WWE showed the actual footage. It was interesting. I don't like how it is legal for news corporations to do that.

Definitely the media edits and spins away...I was shocked at the difference between the edited and unedited comments...

Check it out...

I didn't even bother to watch it... CNN (Or any major media outlet, for that matter) + Pro Wrestling = Negative story about wrestling.

I'm sorry, these guys (and girls) are grown adults. It's not Vince's responsibility to babysit them. Drug test them? Yes, which they do. Also, during these "Special Reports" they always seem to bring up the names of wrestlers that die of other causes besides steroids, or any drugs for that matter.

http://prowrestling.about.com/od/whatsrealwhatsfake/a/wrestlersdeaths.htm

This has a list of all wrestlers that have died after 1985 and before they reached age 65... Look through it some and pick out some random names. There are quite a few that drugs had nothing to do with. Small example:

Junkyard Dog, Adrian Adonis, Joey Marella: Car accidents

Dino Bravo, Chris Adams: Murdered

Mark Curtis, John Tenta (Earthquake),Marianna Komlos, Big John Studd: Cancer

Gorilla Monsoon: Diabetes

Von Erich Family: Suicides

But usually, in those reports, they just flash the names... They don't tell you the entire story. Chris Farley and John Belushi died from drugs and Phil Hartman was murdered, but you don't hear anyone looking to investigate Saturday Night Live. How many football players have violated the NFL Substance abuse policy? How many MLB players have been recently been pegged as steroid users? I don't think the NFL or MLB are gonna shut down anytime soon. Personally, I think it's an unfair light that's being shone on pro wrestling. I'd bet if they took the same criteria and applied it to MLB and NFL, you'd see that it's not as out of balance as the media would like you to believe it is.
