Since a lot of people around here have such a hard on for the Yankees and i have been a Dodgers fan my entire life i am going to claim Joe Torre as my adopt a Dodger.

You're getting the best there is. Never, ever take Joe Torre for granted.

I wish the Dodgers nothing but the best, except for when they play the Yankees (World Series, perhaps?).

While I believe Torre to be a great manager I do not think he's the best in the business. He is only as good as his talent (as with most managers) but I believe LaRussa to be a better in game manager. Joe Torre was NOT a good manager in St. Louis. Granted the talent wasn't good but he didn't get them to play above their talent. in fact they played below it a lot of the time.

I agree that Torre had alot of talent, but he's also a great manager! Best of Luck to the Dodgers, and Joe Torre!

He's a good manager that much I won't deny. However do you believe he could have lead the 2006 Cardinals to a World Title like Tony did?
