Buffalo, NY (WGR 550) - With Jaroslav Spacek expected to miss the weekend with a sprained shoulder the Buffalo Sabres have recalled defenseman Andrej Sekera from Rochester.

Sekera has a goal and three assists in six games with the Amerks this season. He recorded an assist in five preseason games with the Sabres earlier this year.

The Sabres host the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday night at 7:30 PM. Schopp & The Bulldog will have Sabres pregame on WGR starting at 6:30 live from the HSBC Arena. They are in Montreal on Saturday night.

Well Sekera was the last defenseman cut, you kinew he'd get called up as soon as a defenseman went down...hopefully he makes the most of this opportunity!

Now that sucks. I'd be we call up macarthur because we're short centers, and they're not gonna wanna move hecht to center considoring his line has been real hot for us.

Connolly's probable for tomorrow night. Any other player would probably have practiced today. Given his injury history, and the fact that he's the Sabres' hottest forward right now, there was no point in having him practice and aggravate the injury.
