Since being back in WNY Ive been hanging out there as well as the Big Tree and Dannys. I have to say that their (Duffs) Beef on Weck is fantastic! It's HUGE and the Rolls are the best Ive had in a while. The BoW is huge, the horseradish is warm but not a flame thrower type plus they give you a small bowl of gravy for dipping.

Beers are cold although they need to freeze the mugs to really give you a cold brew.

The wings, in my opinion, are good not fantastic, but good if you like crispy wings, I like mine a little less cooked. I still like the Anchor bar wings, call me old school but I prefer those to Duffs. (More wing reports coming soon).

The atmosphere is good too. Sports, on 99% of the TV's and great friendly service. I went to the original Duffs in Amherst and as usual it's crowded and too damn small.

So, if you haven't been to the Duffs in OP make it a stop when you're in the area.

I've already been to both locations. I prefer the crispy wings, but also prefer OP, because the original is agreeably way too small.

The Big Tree Inn is my first stop everytime I visit... which isn't as often as it used to be.

Something about that bar... in the shadow of the Ralph... the low ceilings... the pictures and jerseys... the drunk bartender... the hot wings...

its not a place you go looking for a hookup. it's not place you go to be seen. it's a place you go when you are coming back home.

Try the Warehouse on Milestrip in Hamburg. I have been told it is owned by the same people as Duffs, but I don't know if it is true. But the food is good the TV's are flate screen. A great place too.

Another bonus to the Orchard Park location is that if you go after a Bills game you will usually run into some Bills players. Brian Moorman has been there every time my cousin and I have gone after pre-season games.

I live about 20 house away from the Big tree, been going there a lot as of late, getting to be a regular. The drunk bartenders isn't a lie, we were doing shots with one of the guys last week, man, what a great time.

Rick, do yourself a favor and get some wings from Gabriel's Gate on Allen St.

It gets no better.

Try the beef on weck too. I have never been there, but they had BOW at the Wing Fest this year and they were great.
