Great news! Sucks it took losing Druiere(even though were fine without em) for them to rethink their stance on negotiating in season, but I'm happy...I like Jochen. Hopefully Soupy is up next.

Oh man. We forgot the bigger picture in this. The Darcy haters have no dirt any more either. It appears the rules of no negotiations in season are over.

lol kidding, kinda, but i still have no respect for the man with all the bullshit he publishes, especially in the off season and near the trade deadline.

Like I said in the other thread: This is great news. He's one of the most underrated players in the entire league. I wouldn't mind it at all if he kept the 'C' long term.

I agree. Hecht is a big part of this team, ane I really like his play, stone hands and all...

As far as the
"C" if thats who the players want, then fine. But I think Roy would make a fine captain too.

Now get Campbell done, and play some hockey.

Glad Darcy and Larry learned from their mistakes.

In Darcy I trust.

Very good move.

(As an aside, I told you people an e5 is no joke. Eklund's mistake on the Ryan Smyth extension back at the trade deadline was an anomaly.)

You and C19 sure have changed your tune regarding Derek Roy in a very short amount of time. Good to see you two scabs are finally realizing his potential :D

This scab changed his mind on Roy in August, so I got in before the season :kitty:, and now he's repaying me by playing extremely well.

You're right about that. P-Trip is way behind the 8 ball.

I must say, I have been a Roy 'disliker' for a while. But he's leaving me no choice but to stf up and jump on board. I still want to see him stop chirping at the refs. They will continue to over look penalties committed on him and continue to call him for diving if he keeps bitching. And I don't think I'm realizing his potential as much as I'm enjoying how much of that potential Roy is turning into production. Taylor Pyatt is in his third city that is talking about his 'potential'. He never got it moving though, ya know??

I hear ya. Pyatt will never reach his "potential". But his last season here was his best as a Sabre....As the year went on, he was playing better and better at a steady rate for the first time in his career. Right as we cut ties with him, he was finally producing. He's done decent in Vancouver, but just like when he was here, there's no room for him on this roster at all. He got passed over by just about everyone. Stafford was going to pass over him next...
