On Friday, the dollar was at a record low against the pound ($2.00), the Euro ($1.42) and the Canadian dollar ($1.01).
Does the stock market make any sense to you guys?

Any idea why those in the Market think the worst of the mortgage debacle is over since I heard that UBS Warburg just posted a mortgage fund loss of $3 billion and that the worst of the foreclosures will not hit the US until December when a bigger bulk of adjustable-rates come due than the August bunch that managed to collapse Countrywide?

The housing market usually dictates.
It might to wise to get a little greater cash position no denying that but I love gambling.
You should be at least 20% cash anyway unless your under 30 then you might as well stay pat.
I'm older and should be at least 25% cash or more. But not right away Sept is usually the shit month. I would say Nov might be the time to pull some cash off the table but that's just a hunch.

The God of War has said Nov./Dec. is a great time for hostilities. Just so you know.

If you have money (which i really don't) then get it the hell out of the stock market and into gold and other precious metals. This thing is going to crash in very short order. Cash out now while you have the chance.
Trust me on this. THe stock market is a farce right now. A lot of young people are going to be doing swan dives off of 20 story buildings in the next decade... It's 1920 all over again economically speaking.
Buy canned food and fresh water. You may just make it out of this thing alive.
If you have kids to raise and most of your savings in the stock mkt, you're a moron IMO.

Gold is good advice. Irrationality is running the show right now.
But don't jump out of the market too early. This thing could run another decade and you'd be sitting in metals making a pittance compared to where you could be.
The trick, of course, is knowing when to leap. :)
