If you work for/know of/or you are part of the family...sorry but this is true.
I recently was an organizor of a benefit for a family who has had some hard luck recently. As usual..we hit up all the local businesses for donations. However, we never went to/mailed anything to Mayor Brothers Cider.
I salesman from there calls me on the phone and says he was notified/heard about the benefit. I asked him if he/the business was contacted by any of the organizors of the benefit. He says no. Again, he says no!!
So he starts talking about cidar and water and finally I ask him.."Is Mayor Bros offering to make a donation?" He says NO...but he would be willing to sell me water and cidar at a reduced rate. IT WAS A FREAKING SALES CALL!!
I was pretty p.o.ed and told the guy to never call me again. Again, he reached out to me...I...nor anyone else involved with this benefit contacted him or the cidar mill. We are coming into Cidar season and the event had several hundred people stop by at some point. What better way I guess to market your company/brand than at an event like this. I mentioned this to someone who works with the Boy Scouts. They also were provided with a sales call when they were having a benefit for a 12 year old kid with cancer 2 years ago.
Buffalo area businesses were wonderful. If they could donate they did and it they couldn't...they were respecful to the situation.
I am NEVER buying anything from this company again and telling everyone about it.
