There has been some talk of an extension - anyone else not worried about him leaving if he wants 5 M? I think he is WAY over rated - not a 5M guy. Also he seems like an ass. 3M tops I think.

I don't know about Brian Campbell. He played great until the Allstar break then he fizzled. He really isn't good enough to play against the oppositions top line and his offense is inconsistent. If he was a great PP QB then he would be more valuable but right now he is a pretty good third or fourth D-Man. Nothing more than that.

How so? He comes off as a funny, likable guy to me. On top of being a very good two-way defenseman, he's a leader in the locker room. My initial offer to Campbell would be four years, $18 million.

There's nothing to even judge Campbell by that would suggest he's an ass, anyway. Seems like a class guy to me.

The thing with Campbell is he's awesome at carrying the puck into the offensive zone, but he rarely tries to do it. It seems like everytime he does, it's successful and the play ends with a scoring chance. Maybe Ruff is telling him not to do it, or maybe he just isn't getting the opportunity enough, but it seems like a very underused asset of his.
