SO I made a few deals with some other geeks and managed to upgrade again, at very little cost, to a quad core and Asus P5K Deluxe motherboard. Also bought some Team Xtreme RAM with Micron chips. This chip is the q6600 G0 series and it runs very cool and overclcoks like Lee Evans runs a post pattern.
I have only had a few short periods of times to really learn all this new gear but check these numbers out

12.766s ain't bad for a quad and just a couple of hours work. Pete, these quads are truly amazing. I love the thing and it overclocks like hell (as long as you are on water). The G0 stepping rocks. I'll get that SuperPi down to 12.1 by the end of the week easy after a little tweaking. I'm running this little gem at an everyday setting of 3.6 GHz and the RAM at DDR960 44410 2T 2.2v.
Gents, if you encode music or video GET ONE OF THESE QUADS!!! It does the job so fast that I though something was screwed up the first time I saw it. Scary fast stuff and relatively cheap at $275 for a Q6600 G0 chip.
