hey guys, i know this should go in a different forum but i want the advice of my hockey loving brethren.
We are taking my brother in law out for Wings in Buffalo because he loves the wings down there. He wants to go to some place called "Gansters", ever heard of it? He claims they are the best wings in town.
What do you guys recommend for me? please don't guide me to some dump because i am a leaf fan, lol.
Thanks guys

Wrong , .... Either go to Duff's on Sheridan Drive in Amherst ... Or to the Anchor Bar on Main Street in Buffalo

Duffs is too solid, WAY too solid, as Lynch would say
Elmos, a bar by UB has AMAZING wings too, my other favorite. Not sure if any other Ranger here has tried them to confirm my belief :)

Elmo's wings are pretty damn good. my friends mom works there, so we get hooked up there. haha

My gf is coming into Buffalo for the first time this weekend and I'm taking her to Duff'. So, clearly that would be my suggestion. As far as Ganster's, I've never heard of it...

The Barrel House downtown or The First Place in Amherst have the best wings. Elmo's in Williamsville is pretty good also!

Go to the original Duff's near UB on Sheridan and Niagara Falls Blvd.
DO NOT GO TO THE SPORTS BAR VERSION...PLZ I BEG YOU.
The wings are the same, but the atmosphere is lame and you won't get the "greased saturated walls, dimly lit, cool old seats" experience.

My favorite place is Gabriel's Gate on Allen Street. They have it all -- the atmosphere, wings and a huge selection of beer. This time of the year, you can even sit out in the back on the patio. Can't beat it.
I find that the wings at Duff's are a little greasy. The one here in Orchard Park never gets your order right if you do take out. Gave them three chances and each time the order was screwed up.
I think second on wings would be La Nova on Grant Street (I think it's Grant). Love their barbeque wings and I never order them any other time. I wouldn't even think to order barbeque over regular wings any other time than at La Nova.
In any event, you rarely ever get bad wings in this town. The worst thing they do is screw up the level of 'hotness' you wanted.

^ we invented them.
of course we take pride in them.
I've been living in New York for the last 3-4 years, and guess what...the only good wing place in this entire GIGANTIC metropolis is opened and operated by former Buffalonians.
