An angry Dennis Kucinich lashed out at John Edwards on Friday, saying his Democratic rival showed "a consistent lack of integrity" by suggesting fewer candidates should participate in presidential forums and then trying to explain his remark to reporters.

"This is a serious matter and I'm calling him on it," Kucinich, an Ohio congressman, said in a telephone interview Friday. "Whispering, trying to rig an election, then denying what's going on and making excuses. It all reflects a consistent lack of integrity."

Is It fair to say Kucinich is the Dems version of Ron Paul?

Edwards rides his "my daddy was a mill-worker, we grew up dirt poor" stuff too much. Talk about the issues or shut up John.

exactly, and for America's sake I hope the general election comes down to Paul vs. Dennis Kucinich (furthermore I will be putting my actions where my mouth is and actively campaign and assist the DK08 campaign0

Don't often quote myself but there is a good chance that I may even be working directly with the DK campaign.

FWIW, I think Kucinich would do a good job managing our country. That said, a lot of folks thought Jimmy Carter would do a good job too. So many, in fact, he got elected. It's one thing to manage the country when things are relatively quiet. It's another thing to run it when things go wrong (ie: the hostage situation with Carter). I'm not sure Kuinich would be a good disaster manager.

This is why you and I disagree so often.

That statement is like a bug in SW code. Once this belief is factored in then the logic all goes to crap.

The "country" is nothing more than the body of citizens. And citizens are people. And people don't need to be "managed" by an authority. That's the flaw with statist thinking. The government needs to manage the people. Everyone but yourself of course. Unfortunately, when too many people think that way then everyone winds up "managed".

There you go again. Twisting my words to fit what your beliefs and your brain thought I meant. Every President manages. That's what the office is all about. Not the people. But the issues of the day that are put in front of him to deal with. Deciding whether to sign bills that have passed Congress, deciding how to manage foriegn policy, deciding how to manage domestic policy. Deciding on budget issues. Choosing cabinet members. And on and on. Got it? Let me know if I'm ambling on too quickly for you Pete. http://images.zeroforum.com/smile/emwink.gif
